Business Manners Apply to Interviewers As Well As Applicants

Today’s job applicants are encountering a lack of courtesy that is all too common. Businesses are flooded with applicants for every opening and many are showing a lack of respect for job seekers by failing to respond to their applications.

Most employers request resumes and other documentation be sent by e-mail. Occasionally they use the old-fashioned method-the anonymous post office box. The huge volume of applications makes it seem difficult to respond personally to each one. However, the technology is there to reply to all.

Most e-mail programs have the ability to send an automatic response letting applicants know that their information has been received and how and when they will be notified of an interview or the lack of one. If the application is handled through postal mail, a generic letter can be generated and sent out with the same details. There is no excuse for leaving applicants in the dark.

Following an interview, employers continue their thoughtlessness. Applicants are told they will be contacted within a certain time, but it never happens. With the search narrowed, the number of calls or letters should be manageable. People who reach this level in the interview process deserve

Your Visitors Want to be Blown Away!

Today I stumbled upon a cool music player it worked so well, it was so easy and intuitive it simply delivered. In fact it was quite remarkable. Take a look at that word remarkable! Remark-able, yes, I was able to make voluntary, un-coerced positive remarks to my friends. They also liked it and may just tell their friends. What makes one website/product so remarkable? Well simply put when a website solves a problem, meets a need or satisfies a want, its likely to be a good site. However a remarkable site does all that so well that it literally over-delivers, surpasses all expectations and makes its visitors feel good just for finding it. In what way is your site, your product remarkable?

Why do you care? Because you want traffic, traffic, traffic. A good site may only convert 2- 5% of its traffic, so the higher your traffic, the more you sell. But other than positive, pervasive word of mouth you will have to work or pay for that traffic. I say work because there are some ways of generating traffic that dont cost much money rather they demand time and effort.

One of the best ways

Difference Between Physical Therapy And Occupational Therapy As Related Services In Education

One common question asked by parents is what is the difference between physical therapy and occupational therapy services provided through schools as a related special education service? Both therapies are related services to special education and are provided only if the child needs therapy to function in the educational setting. The role of physical therapist and an occupational therapist is to facilitate a student’s independent functioning and decrease the effects of a disability on his/her ability to participate in the educational setting and process. The following is a general response to the difference between the two.

Physical Therapy (PT): emphasizes the acquisition of basic motor skills necessary for functional mobility about the school environment as well as the physical capability for participating with peers during education and recess. Areas of focus for the school physical therapist include:

- Gross motor skills: activities that use large muscles
- Mobility skills: moving safely throughout the school environment, including entering and exiting the school bus
- Postural control and alignment needed to perform school activities and for increasing independence in life skills

Occupational therapy (OT): emphasizes the acquisition of or compensation for functional performance skills needed by students during

Bridgestone Tires – Taking A Drive

After a chance meeting between Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone in the late 1800s the two collaborated on Fords first automobile. It was the man that ultimately was the impetus for Bridgestone Tires that helped Mr. Ford resolve his problem of supporting such a large weight and also to give the ride a smoother touch.

From the hand that the Bridgestone Tire creator played in a historic moment in the history of the United States, through countless other innovations, Bridgestone has been there. With something that the average person gives very little attention to unless a problem arises, its interesting to consider what aspects must be focused on to make a good, reliable tire. Bridgestone has given considerable attention in the area of wet handling and traction, tire punctures, tire wear, ride comfort, noise reduction, among countless other areas that are indeed essential, if we drivers and riders are to continue to forget about the things that our autos rest upon.

A glance over this list offers, perhaps, two thoughts. At first glance, perhaps some sense of the mundane is considered (wet handling and tire punctures don exactly elicit the most contentious debates). But, upon some reflection

Playing Better Soccer

Meticulous practice, an improved sense of controlling the ball and effective use of the multitude soccer skills during a match.differentiates players who can play better soccer from average players who can merely kick a ball. If you want to become the next Diego Maradona , Ronaldinho or even Tony Philliskirk you need to adopt lightning quick attacking skills, fearless defensive capabilities, powerful shooting, long or short passing and at the top ultimate control over the ball.

Before you can master the game of soccer you need to determine what position you want to play in. There is no doubt that hard practice and complete dedication is necessary to play better soccer. However, soccer practices vary based on the position of a player. If you want to be a goalkeeper and have balls pelted at you at 100 miles per hour all game then your practice will be different than a defender, midfielder or striker. Before considering further soccer coaching you need to have it clear in your mind where on the field you want to play.

Playing soccer like a professional player is quite different and requires practice under the supervision of a fully qualified and licensed soccer

What Does Everyone Have Against Hockey?

We’re in the middle of the first NHL Playoffs since 2004 and there seems to be a common theme. No it’s not Ilja Bryzgalov shut-outs (although those seem to be happening quite often), it’s NHL bashing.

It’s no surprise that the NHL is not as popular as the NFL, Major League Baseball, the NBA, or NCAA Football and Basketball for that matter – but it gets treated by major media like it is a joke of a sport. Shows like Around the Horn on ESPN constantly make fun of anyone who actually watches hockey. They don’t pick on NASCAR, they don’t pick on soccer, and they don’t pick on tennis or golf. They pick on hockey.

Earlier this week, Mike Bianchi of the Orlando Sentinel wrote an article entitled Hockey: The cold, hard, truth in which he claims that no one wants to read about hockey, and pleads sports sections and media outlets to stop covering it. He cites low NHL ratings as the reason to stop covering it, and claims that sports editors are from an era when hockey still mattered. He states that the WNBA and Major League Soccer are in the same category as

The CRV Program later expanded its focus and became the WISE Resource Volunteer Program. This program aims to have volunteers engaged in various functions across the Minneapolis Schools. B.J. Reed retired in 1981 but continued to be an integral part of the WISE Resource Volunteer Program until her death in 1995. The B.J.
