Webroot Antivirus with Spy Sweeper 2010 problem. Please Help.?
I bought Webroot antivirus/spysweeper and I installed the cd. It told me to restart my computer and i did.
When I signed in to my account. The only thing that I could see was the mouse icon, and the wallpaper; there were no icons or the task bar. I was “wtf?”, and after attempting many things, i decided to try another account. This time it allowed me to open the windows task manager and I launched SpySweeper.
*I already had a SpySweeper program, but it was outdated, so I thought the cd would override the previous one. But when I lauched SpySweeper from the task manager, it says that it is outdated.(sigh) I tried updating it but it just takes me to Webroots website to buy the product, but I just bought it today. What should I do? I already tried calling technical support, but they’re not available today. Help, please.
Uninstall Spy Sweeper and the AV completely and reboot. Then install them again from the CD. See if that fixes it. If that doesn’t work, try using their removal utility here ( http://resnet.bridgew.edu/files/SSECleanup.zip ) and then reinstall again from CD.
